PHILIP WOO’S FORMLINE
Little Paradise has had excuses in two of his three defeats after showing a good turn of foot to win the Classic Mile in February before saluting from midfield in Group Three over 1,400m. He has won first up in both campaigns. Copartner Prance stayed on a distant second chasing the world's best Ka Ying Rising on opening day over 1,200m. He was a game second in this race last year and is the one to catch. Invincible Ibis easily landed the Derby in March for a fifth win last term, including both 1,400m starts, before finishing up with a good fourth in April's Champions Mile. He will make it close on the wire. Galaxy Patch is very smart when right, including a Jockey Club Mile win in November, and comes into this off a last-to-second effort for his new trainer over 1,400m.
TROUBLE IN RUNNING
HELIOS EXPRESS (H302) bumped near the 150M. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 638.
INVINCIBLE IBIS (K296) shifted out on jumping and made contact with a runner - Race 640.
PATCH OF THETA (H485) jumped awkwardly - Race 791.
LITTLE PARADISE (K246) shortly after the start was bumped - Race 791.
STORMY GROVE (K478) was slow to begin. After the race was reported by the vet who said the horse had bled from both nostrils. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 661.
LUCKY WITH YOU (E356) jumped only fairly - Race 003. .
