Mud wrestling to prep soil for rice planting in Hong Kong

April is the start of the rice planting season in Hong Kong, where a local farm has been working with local university agriculture students to organise an event to get city dwellers involved. They came up with a number of family activities, including having parents and children help prep muddy rice paddies for planting. They include finding and discarding snails that eat the rice plants, a race through the mud and, to cap it all off, some competitive mud wrestling. The activities are designed to teach visitors about rice farming while having fun.
