Race Three : (39) - WONG CHUK HANG HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 EXCEED THE LIMIT (L267) L Hewitson Approaching the 1400 Metres was steadied to avoid CASA ROCHESTER when being shifted behind CASA ROCHESTER.
Horse No 2 SHOOTING TO TOP (L039) Z Purton Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 RAINBOW SEVEN (K145) C Y Ho Jumped awkwardly and then was bumped by MEGA MASTERMIND which shifted in.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 MEGA MASTERMIND (L044) B Avdulla Shifted in on jumping and was bumped.
B Avdulla stated that, in his opinion, MEGA MASTERMIND is better suited when being able to dictate in the lead.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 AMAZING GAZE (K444) J Orman Near the 1400 Metres was steadied to avoid MEGA MASTERMIND (B Avdulla) which shifted in when not sufficiently clear.
B Avdulla was reprimanded.
Over the final 100 Metres was held up for clear running when improving into a narrow run between DECISION LINK and SURE JOYFUL.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 CASA ROCHESTER (J494) L Ferraris For a short distance near the 300 Metres was held up for clear running.
Near the 200 Metres was eased when disappointed for clear running between LUCKY TOGETHER and AMAZING GAZE which shifted in.
Horse No 7 DECISION LINK (K416) E C W Wong Jumped only fairly and then shortly after the start was steadied to avoid AMAZING GAZE when taken in by RAINBOW SEVEN.
Approaching the finishing line E C W Wong dropped his right rein.
Horse No 8 AKERMANIS GOLD (L031) C L Chau Near the 1300 Metres SHOOTING TO TOP (Z Purton) shifted in when not sufficiently clear, resulting in AMAZING GAZE racing tight to the inside of SHOOTING TO TOP when SHOOTING TO TOP obtained a position three wide.
When AMAZING GAZE was ridden to hold its position to the inside of SHOOTING TO TOP and when LUCKY TOGETHER shifted out slightly making the turn near the 1200 Metres, AKERMANIS GOLD was then checked when crowded between LUCKY TOGETHER and AMAZING GAZE.
After considering all the evidence Jockey Purton was reprimanded and advised he must ensure he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground.
Approaching the 250 Metres was inconvenienced when taken out by SHOOTING TO TOP which shifted out.

Horse No 9 LUCKY TOGETHER (L079) K C Leung Jumped only fairly.
K C Leung reported that his mount raced keenly during the early stages and would derive a fitness benefit from tonight's performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 BRIGHT INHERITANCE (J215) H Bentley Jumped awkwardly and then was steadied to avoid CALIFORNIA MOXIE which shifted out.
Horse No FAMILY KNIGHT (K490) M L Yeung Withdrawn on 21.9.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (colic) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter CALIFORNIA MOXIE.
Before being allowed to race again, FAMILY KNIGHT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Punted late Akermanis Gold travelled one off better than midfield before peeling into the centre upon straightening and taking control 60m out for a first win at his 10th local start. He was able to live up to a rallying fifth when trying the Valley 1,650m at his final start last term. Shooting To Top stayed on nicely for second after getting posted three wide travelling third from gate seven. He's a winner waiting to happen. Old-timer Sure Joyful kept on gamely for third after spearing straight to the lead from gate 12. He is a well-rated runner. Exceed The Limit ran on nicely late down the outside for fourth after making his run third last from gate 11. He's made a good impression in three consecutive runs down in Class Four. Decision Link ran on steadily for fifth after a rails run from midfield. He rarely produces a bad run over this course. Firming favourite Amazing Gaze was left without a finishing effort after getting posted three wide until slotting one-off travelling better than midfield at the 1,300m. Casa Rochester ran on without threatening after making his run three from the rear. He might need 1,800m now.
