TROUBLE IN RUNNING

RAGING BLIZZARD (H368) when questioned rider stated that from an inside barrier he was able to hold a slightly more forward position than its previous race starts. He said throughout the middle stages he followed a runner and he had the eventual winner positioned to his outside. He said whilst he contemplated shifting out from the 600M he felt he was not in a position to do so as the winner was racing slightly in advance of his mount and travelling well at that stage. He said he remained racing behind the aforementioned runner as he did not want to follow another runner. He added that on entering the Home Straight when the aforementioned runner shifted out he took the only option available to shift to the outside of that runner, however, became held up behind a third runner near the 250M when that runner commenced to give ground. He further stated that he then looked to shift to the outside of a third runner leaving the 200M as he was of the opinion that that runner may continue to shift in when it was giving ground, however when that runner shifted out slightly that resulted in his mount being steadied when disappointed for clear running and as a result his mount did not obtain clear running between the 250M and the 50M - Race 791.

BEAUTY WAVES (H294) post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 812.

COLOURFUL KING (K227) on jumping was bumped - Race 812.

JOHANNES BRAHMS (K014) after the race was reported by the vet who said the horse had bled from both nostrils. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 583.
