PHILIP WOO’S FORMLINE
Loving Vibes is trending towards a win with placings three times from his past four Valley 1,200m starts, including a recent second to Brownneedsfurther after moving to the lead 100m out following a speed-tracking run. He must have claims. Genuis Baby has remained competitive to fill the frame in seven of his past nine starts across both tracks after ringing up a second Valley 1,200m success in December. He should map nicely from gate three. Winning Money scored a deserved Valley 1,200m win in January before backing up two defeats after tough runs with a pace-prompting third and fourth in consecutive Valley 1,000m runs. He remains one of the main players. Veteran Find My Love did just get up from midfield for the win on a wet track two runs ago over this C&D before failing to lift when ridden last on a faster surface. He won't have to beat much to have a say in the finish.
TROUBLE IN RUNNING
FIND MY LOVE (H110) rider stated that after settling back in the field his mount found it difficult to make up ground in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 728.
WINNING MONEY (J116) shortly after the start was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced. Over the concluding stages raced tight - Race 768.
GENIUS BABY (K132) leaving the 1100M became unbalanced when momentarily crowded. Approaching the 200M had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted out - Race 807.
EXCEPTIONAL SANTOS (K441) was withdrawn two days before raceday by order of the Stewards acting on vet advice (head and hind limb injuries) . Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 417.
I AM BACK (L061) passing the 1100M became slightly unbalanced when racing tight - Race 274.
FREE PONY (K229) jumped only fairly. From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 600M made contact with a runner - Race 801.
LUCK IS BACK (J398) shifted out at the start and was bumped. Leaving the 400M was bumped on the hindquarters and as a result shifted in and made contact with a runner for some distance thereafter. Approaching the 250M was hampered when bumped. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Trainer confirmed that the instructions were to race where comfortable but not to restrain the horse in the early stages - Race 818.
STARRY SHOW (L074) shortly after the start got its head up and became unbalanced when being shifted across behind runners from a wide barrier. Near the 750M was checked and then shifted out and raced ungenerously for some distance thereafter - Race 770.
JOLLY COMPANION (H454) on jumping was bumped. Approaching the 250M was shifted in to continue into clear running. Near the 200M made contact with a runner - Race 767.
LEAN MASTER (H134) rider stated that from the outside barrier she was obliged to make use of her mount in the early stages to obtain a position outside the lead, resulting in her mount being unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 800.
GOOD LUCK BABE (K016) bumped shortly after the start. Approaching the 250M was hampered when taken wider - Race 818.
VET'S REPORT
EXCEPTIONAL SANTOS (K441) 06/02/2026 Head and hind limb injuries. Withdrawn from racing. (passed on 18/06/2026).
TRACKWORK HIGHLIGHT
Exceptional Santos produced a much better trial at Sha Tin last time and is one to consider.
