Recap by phillip woo

Flying Ting Lok settled wide with cover in midfield and just outfinished raging favourite and first-time starter Packing Smart by a head bob for a first win at his 14th local start. He was able to build on a surprise placing last start. Packing Smart lifted late to make it close on the wire after travelling one-off from better than midfield following a tardy start. It was a solid debut effort. Solid Car ran on late towards the outside to finish a very close third after making his run three from the rear. He has continued to race well once across each track following a win. Tactical Ace grudgingly gave way after dictating the run from gate three. It was clearly his best effort from eight local starts. Gallant Design ran on well for fifth after having to rebalance following interference 350m out travelling third last from gate 12. It was another good effort at his maiden run over the Valley 1,200m. Copartner Fleet was short of room over the final 100m when making ground from behind midfield. Unstoppaple disappointed after a prominent run but it was his first run back following a defeat last start with blood in his trachea.
