Racing Incident Report
Race Eight : (155) - ZHAOQING HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 GLOWING PRAISES (L223) K C Leung Near the 850 Metres became unbalanced when bumped by LUCY IN THE SKY which lay in.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported.
Horse No 2 LUCY IN THE SKY (J275) A Badel Near the 850 Metres lay in and made contact with GLOWING PRAISES.
Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race.
Horse No 3 CANDLELIGHT DINNER (J468) H Y Yuen Hung in throughout the event and in the Home Straight proved difficult to ride out.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have a respiratory condition which requires further assessment.
Horse No 4 AMAZING KID (K434) A Atzeni Near the 600 Metres was hampered when taken wider.
Horse No 6 PRESTIGE ALWAYS (J300) P N Wong Near the 600 Metres was hampered when bumped and taken wider by JUMBO BLESSING.
Apprentice P N Wong stated that her mount came under pressure on entering the Home Straight and she had some concerns with its action.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Before being allowed to race again, PRESTIGE ALWAYS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 7 ETERNAL FORTUNE (K010) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 JUMBO BLESSING (K529) C Y Ho Jumped only fairly.
Near the 600 Metres was checked to avoid LUCY IN THE SKY when that runner gave ground when momentarily racing tight to the inside of RED ELEGANCE.
In this incident JUMBO BLESSING shifted out and made contact with PRESTIGE ALWAYS.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 SMART OINK (L542) H T Mo Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No 10 CALA DEI MORI (L428) M F Poon Was fractious in the starting gates prior to the start being effected and found to have sustained a small laceration to the nasal bones.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 DA AI (L552) R Kingscote Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 12 RED ELEGANCE (H241) M Chadwick Sent for sampling post-race.

Punted late Eternal Fortune travelled one off with cover in third before hitting the front 200m out and proving too good. He put the writing on the wall last start at Sha Tin and relished a return to his preferred Valley track. Red Elegance ran on nicely for second after a rails run from midfield. He is a winner waiting to happen with seconds in back-toback runs this term. Raging favourite Jumbo Blessing made up heaps of ground late for third after working into the clear with two wider out at the 250m following a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was a good run up in Class Three for the first time.
