Race Six : (133) - LUKFOOK JEWELLERY NIGHT BANQUET IN TANG PALACE COLLECTIONHANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters
Horse No 2 FULL METAL (L544) K Teetan On jumping was crowded between LIGHTNESS OF MUSIC and YEE CHEONG BRIGHT which shifted in.
Near the 800 Metres, when racing keenly, was steadied to avoid YEE CHEONG BRIGHT when obtaining a position with cover behind YEE CHEONG BRIGHT.
Between the 400 Metres and the 350 Metres had some difficulty obtaining clear running.
Horse No 3 YEE CHEONG BRIGHT (M068) J Orman Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 CASA OF HONOR (K310) M F Poon Jumped only fairly.
M F Poon reported that his mount gave ground over the final 200 Metres but could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 KA YING LIGHTNING (L137) A Atzeni Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 LIGHTNESS OF MUSIC (K436) Z Purton Bumped at the start.
Horse No 8 CALIFORNIA COMMAND (L430) Y L Chung Shifted out on jumping and made contact with LIGHTNESS OF MUSIC.
Horse No 9 KING OF THE SKY (L459) K C Leung Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded by LAHORE which shifted out.
Horse No 10 TURBO GRANNY (M036) C Y Ho TURBO GRANY, which was standing awkwardly in the starting gates, was slow to begin.
Horse No 14 LAHORE (K043) A Badel Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.
As this was the second occasion that LAHORE had bled, the horse is ineligible to run in any race conducted by the Club in the future.

Favourite Ka Ying Lightning prompted the pace and after leading 350m out, he kept on gamely when Yee Cheong Bright drew nearly level 100m out to remain perfect in three starts. He handled the rise in class without a problem and has a bright future. Yee Cheong Bright ran on nicely for second from better than midfield in the centre of the track from gate seven. It was a very encouraging local debut. Full Metal ran on nicely to grab third 30m out travelling behind midfield, It was a solid effort on his local debut. Lightness Of Music had his chance but found a few too good following a midfield run.
