Racing Incident Report
Race Five : (132) - LUKFOOK JEWELLERY DIABLING SHIMMERING GOLD COLLECTIONHANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 THOUSAND SPIRIT (K365) H Y Yuen Knuckled over shortly after the start.
Trainer M Newnham confirmed the instructions from a wide barrier were to go forward and lead if possible.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 YEE CHEONG GLORY (K074) J Orman When questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight J Orman stated that he followed SPEEDY POWER during the running of the race.
He said after entering the Home Straight when SPEEDY POWER shifted out to improve he made ground to the inside of SPEEDY POWER where he was presented with the option to continue to improve to its inside behind DOUBLE ALPHA.
He said he was reluctant to commit to this position as he was concerned that DOUBLE ALPHA would not take him into the race and therefore he elected to follow SPEEDY POWER.
He said whilst this resulted in YEE CHEONG GLORY having some difficulty obtaining clear running between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres he felt this was the best option to provide it with clear running.
He added when SPEEDY POWER quickened near the 250 Metres his mount took some time to respond to his riding and after laying in and away from PRIVATE WEALTH when obtaining a narrow run between PRIVATE WEALTH and COPARTNER A I near the 100 Metres he was satisfied with his mount's finishing effort over the concluding stages.
Horse No 3 CAVAMAZING (L344) M L Yeung Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 4 LIGHT YEARS GLORY (K204) L Ferraris Trainer D Eustace confirmed that from the outside barrier he instructed for the horse to be ridden in a conservative manner in the early stages.
He said whilst LIGHT YEARS GLORY had raced in a more forward position at its last start on 1 October 2026 this was not the instruction he issued to Jockey L Ferraris on that occasion.
Horse No 5 COPARTNER A I (L280) C Y Ho Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 6 E HO HO (L119) H Bentley Bumped on jumping.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 7 GENIUS MASTERMIND (L217) B Avdulla B Avdulla reported that he was not satisfied with his mount's action in the Home Straight.

Before being allowed to race again, GENIUS MASTERMIND will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 8 GLORY PATCH (L534) A Atzeni Near the 250 Metres was steadied to avoid PRIVATE WEALTH which shifted out after being bumped.
Horse No 9 HANDSOME HERO (L346) C L Chau Bumped on jumping.
Lay in in the Home Straight.
Approaching the 100 Metres was shifted to the inside of THOUSAND SPIRIT to continue into clear running.
Horse No 10 PRIVATE WEALTH (L177) K Teetan Bumped on jumping.
In the middle stages raced keenly.
Near the 250 Metres was hampered when bumped by SPEEDY POWER.
Between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres was held up for clear running behind CAVAMAZING.
Horse No 11 DOUBLE ALPHA (L291) M F Poon After being crossed by THOUSAND SPIRIT near the 900 Metres commenced to race keenly.
Approaching the 800 Metres shifted out and was then steadied to avoid RIDING HIGH (L Hewitson) which shifted in.
L Hewitson was advised to exercise more care.
Horse No 12 NOBLE PATCH (L282) K C Leung Bumped on jumping.
Horse No 13 SPEEDY POWER (L362) Z Purton Jumped only fairly and then shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped by E HO HO which shifted in after making contact with HANDSOME HERO.
Between the 350 Metres and the 250 Metres was held up for clear running.
Near the 250 Metres was shifted to the outside of COPARTNER A I to obtain clear running and made contact with PRIVATE WEALTH.

Odds-on favourite Speedy Power travelled behind midfield after being held up between the 400m and 250m, he flew home late to take control 50m out for a maiden win at his sixth start. He lived up to an eye-catching third for his new trainer first up this term. Thousand Spirit kept on gamely for second after leading from gate nine under a 7lb claimer. He's close to a win at this level. Noble Patch came from last and widest out to nearly grab second. He was able to build on a closing sixth last start over 1,400m. Double Alpha stuck around for fourth after a one-out, one-back run. He's building towards a win in his four sprints across both tracks this term. Handsome Hero stayed on for fifth after a rail run from better than midfield. It was another honest effort with a step up to 1,200m.
