Race Three : (130) - LUKFOOK JEWELLERY LOVE IS BEAUTY COLLECTION HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1600Meters
Horse No 1 MORGAN SUCCESS (K203) R Kingscote Shortly after the start bumped with SOO KOO.
Horse No 3 ABSOLUTE AWAKENED (K039) K C Leung Between the 300 Metres and the 100 Metres was held up for clear running.
Horse No 4 CAVA PIONEER (L359) Z Purton When questioned Z Purton stated that with the early and middle stages being run inside of standard time his mount was under pressure throughout the race to maintain its position.
He said near the 500 Metres when positioned behind POLAR PATCH he was reluctant to shift out to improve at that point given the manner in which his mount had raced in the early and middle stages.
He said when SMART FAT CAT improved quickly to his outside at the 500 Metres he then remained racing behind POLAR PATCH and followed SMART FAT CAT into the Home Straight when able to shift to the outside of POLAR PATCH.
He added under pressure in the Home Straight CAVA PIONEER continued to respond to his riding but finished the race off in a one-paced manner.
Horse No 5 JOY TOGETHER (L227) C L Chau From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 6 KINGMAN REEF (L446) B Avdulla Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 SOO KOO (L008) M L Yeung Shortly after the start became unbalanced when it bumped with MORGAN SUCCESS.
Near the 900 Metres lay in and made contact with the running rail.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 FLYING AMANI (K152) M F Poon From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 9 GOOD LUCK BABE (K016) Y L Chung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 12 LOVELY MILES (L165) H T Mo Shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped by KINGMAN REEF which shifted in.
Horse No 13 AMAZING DUCK (H392) H Bentley H Bentley stated that his mount was disadvantaged by being pressured in the early stages by CIRCUIT FIERY which went forward to lead.
He said as a result his mount was unable to finish the race off in the Home Straight, particularly with the early and middle stages being run inside of standard time.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, AMAZING DUCK will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 14 SMART FAT CAT (K280) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.

Whacked to jump favourite Smart Fat Cat was one-out five-back and after surging to lead the lead 300m out, he held on for a first win at his 16th start. He was able to deliver at his second start for his new trainer. Kingman Reef ran on nicely to finish a clear-cut second after making his run four from the rear. He relished the step up to 1,600m after running on over 1,400m. Polar Patch stayed on well for third after a one-off trip from better than midfield. He was able to build on an opening sixth over 1,400m this term. Lovely Miles made good ground late to snatch fourth after a patient ride fourth last from gate 10.
