Recap by phillip woo

Punted late Leading Agility tracked the speed from gate nine before rushing to the lead 250m out and proving too good to ring up a third win and two placings from his past five starts following a gear change. He has the tools to head higher. Well-backed Greater Bae ran on nicely for second after straightening four deep following a rails run from behind midfield. He has honest form over the Valley 1,200m. Jubilant Winner stayed on nicely near the outside for third after a one-off trip from midfield. It was an improved effort after a flat effort last time out. Perfect General kept plugging away for fourth after a prominent run. It was a much better effort on his return to his preferred Valley course after a flat Sha Tin effort on his season debut. Veteran Kyrus Dragon was doing his best work late for fifth after making his run second last from gate 12. Early favourite Pegas kept on evenly when asked for more after a rails run from midfield. He could not build on a hard-charging fourth last start. Perfectday ran on without threatening down the outside after a patient ride fourth last from gate seven.

Horse No 6 ROYAL BLITZ (L375) Z Purton When questioned Z Purton stated that it was not the intention to lead.

He said after riding his mount along in the early stages to hold an on-pace position ROYAL BLITZ commenced to race keenly and as a result he was obliged to allow it to stride forward to lead.
