Recap by phillip woo

Super Sixty was wide with cover in midfield but quickened nicely down the centre to take control 150m out for a third win from 23 starts. It was a return to form following off-season fetlock surgery. Early favourite Georgian Sigma stayed on very well for second after leading 200m out chasing the speed three wide from gate 12. It was another solid effort following a win. Flow Rider zoomed late for third after making his run at the rear following an awkward start from gate 10. It was an eye-catching debut performance. Master Champion rallied well with two wider out for fourth after making his run fourth last from gate 11. He was able to back up a closing third last start following a return to the Valley 1,000m. Whacked to jump favourite Mapogo succumbed late for fifth after briefly leading 250m out following a speed-tracking run outside King Alloy from gate four. He must be kept safe shortly in Class Five. Grand Nova ran on without threatening from behind midfield. Copper Core had his chance but only plodded over the last 100m following a rail run from better than midfield.
