Recap by phillip woo
Well-backed Light Years Charm had a rails run from better than midfield and after darting to the front 200m out, he was too good for a seventh win from 20 starts. He's won two Group races and a second over 1,800m from three consecutive starts following a gear change. Patch Of Theta kept on gamely to hold onto second by a head after setting a genuine pace in front from gate one. The change in tactics nearly worked the oracle. My Wish was eating up the ground late for third after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was a good run carrying top weight at his first start this term. Whacked to jump favourite Sky Jewellery got rolling late to grab fourth after biding his time fourth last from gate four. It was another pleasing effort up in grade carrying a light weight following a win.
