Recap by phillip woo
Well backed Big Return surged from midfield on the fence to the lead 200m out and was too good for a fourth win from 19 starts. The step up to 1,800m worked the oracle after staying on a non-threatening fifth last start over 1,600m. Forever Folks kept on gamely for second after circling the field from last at the 1,000m following a slow start. He was able to back up a course and distance win in Class Four in June. Dreaming Together stayed on well for third after a prominent run from gate four. It was his best effort from seven local runs with a step up to 1,800m. Pocketing came from last and widest out upon straightening for fourth. He appreciated the step up to 1,800m after a non-threatening run on opening day over 1,400m.
