Victor Supreme settled behind midfield and quickened nicely near the 200m to win going away for a maiden success at his eighth start. The step up to 1,800m worked the oracle after knocking on the door in five straight 1,600m runs. Firefoot sustained his bid 600m out for second following a wide without cover trip from behind midfield. It was another good effort on his return to turf. Inno Super stayed on nicely for third settling third with cover from gate 13. It was an improved effort with a step up to 1,800m. Favourite Smart Fat Cat had to settle for fourth after going forward three wide to sit outside the leader from gate 14. He's better ridden conservatively. Supreme Mastermind ran on late for fifth after making his run towards the rear. It was his best effort from four career starts.

Horse No 1 MISSION GIANT (K577) J Orman The performance of MISSION GIANT, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, MISSION GIANT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 2 MR COOL (K184) K Teetan A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 4 SUPREME MASTERMIND (K387) L Ferraris Jumped only fairly and then shortly after the start raced tight to the inside of MISSION GIANT which shifted in.

Horse No 6 VICTOR SUPREME (K547) C Y Ho Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 7 BRIGHT INHERITANCE (J215) M F Poon Slow to begin.

Horse No 8 LEAPING STAR (L189) E Brown In the early stages raced keenly and near the 1400 Metres shifted in when being steadied to obtain a position with cover behind VICTOR SUPREME.

E Brown pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference leaving the 1400 Metres (see SMILING ONE).

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 9 FIREFOOT (J183) J Moreira Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Horse No 10 SMART FAT CAT (K280) A Badel Trainer W K Mo confirmed that from the outside barrier he had instructed A Badel to go forward.

Horse No 11 SMILING ONE (K336) K C Leung Jumped only fairly.

E Brown (LEAPING STAR) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that leaving the 1400 Metres he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of SMILING ONE, resulting in SMILING ONE having to be checked.

E Brown was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Wednesday, 15 July 2026 at Happy Valley.

In addition, in accordance with previous practices, Jockey Brown was fined $40,000.

In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record.

The performance of SMILING ONE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, SMILING ONE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 12 GRAND TURBO (L138) Z Purton After travelling a short distance was eased to avoid MISSION GIANT which lay in despite the efforts of its rider.

Horse No 14 KINGLY DEMEANOR (H486) P N Wong A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
