My mum, grandma and I recently visited a Japanese restaurant in Wong Tai Sin.
We had some very delicious ramen there. I really love eating and spending time with my family. I wish we could always stay together, eat yummy cuisines everywhere and create happy memories.
I asked my mum about her favourite food, ice cream with soda. The most unusual food she has ever eaten is snails, worms and bugs. She said they taste good. Her favourite restaurant is McDonald’s and she always orders chicken nuggets there.

Near the end of my summer holidays, my grandma and I joined a missionary trip to Cambodia.
The most unforgettable part was the day we went to Smokey Mountain. This is a nickname for the Stung Meanchey landfill in Phnom Penh, where people live.
I saw children in very poor condition. Their houses were littered with flies and there were no beds or furniture.
The children were happy to see us. I gave them stationery and my old teddy bears. It was touching and dampened my eyes. I recalled the teaching of Saint Francis of Assisi: It is through giving that we receive.

I am going to tell you about how I celebrate Diwali, the festival of light.
We take out our new books and pray on them. We use red ink to draw symbols in the book and write something in Gujarati. Then, we get food, visit people’s offices and get something like the lai see that you get on Lunar New Year.
We normally get sweets, chocolate and money. And that is how I celebrate Diwali!
