Venus: My chosen emoji is the plane ✈️ because I travel with my family during the summer holidays. These trips not only allow me to learn about different cultures and lifestyles, broadening my horizons, but they also provide valuable time spent with my family, making my summer truly fulfilling.
Earth: The hourglass emoji ⏳ represents my summer best. Unlike previous years, I could truly relax this summer without university entrance exams looming over me. Now, each falling grain in the hourglass gently reminds me to make the most of this fleeting holiday to create a winning head start.
Mars: I choose cycling 🚴 because it represents how I spend my summer with my family. Riding bikes together is my favourite summer hobby. It allows me to enjoy the fresh air and relax while having a great time with my loved ones on a leisurely bike ride. We appreciate the scenery along the way and enjoy chatting about everyday topics. This activity makes my summer special and strengthens the bond between my family and me.
Jupiter: 💧 The water droplet emoji perfectly represents the intensity of Hong Kong summers. The heat and humidity are so overwhelming that they leave you feeling like a shrivelled prune. I’ve even attempted to use my magical powers to change the weather, but to no avail. Therefore, the only solution is simple: stay hydrated.
Saturn: If I had to choose one emoji to represent my summer, it would definitely be the soft-serve ice cream emoji. 🍦 While Hong Kong is gripped by intense heat, I’ve been craving Mobile Softee ice cream more than ever. As soon as I hear the familiar jingle, I run downstairs immediately. This delightful emoji has truly become the symbol of my summer.
Uranus: 🍦 I would choose ice cream. Summer feels like a slow, colourful melt, much like ice cream under a blazing sun. A single bite always gives me a refreshing chill during the hottest days. Not only does it cool me from the inside out, but it also symbolises the arrival of my long-awaited holiday – finally, I have permission to relax.
Neptune: 📷 The summer I envision would definitely include a camera X that captures all the spontaneous moments. Even though I have my university entrance exams next year, I wouldn’t want my summer to be so dull that I spend all my time at home studying. Instead, I filled my summer with memorable experiences and snapshots that I can look back on with fondness.
Sun: If I had to describe my summer using just one emoji, it would probably be 😫 – I know this is an unusual choice, especially since there are many fun activities to enjoy during the summer holiday. However, the weather can be extremely hot and humid, making it hard for me to breathe properly and enjoy activities like going to the beach.
Milky Way: I will use 🤩 as the emoji to describe my summer. I joined a study tour and arrived in Cambridge on July 14, which marked the start of my summer holiday. When I arrived, I was surprised by how old the city was. As a student who loves history and culture, I was amazed by this. Of course, I felt a bit of culture shock. Compared with Hong Kong, the lifestyle in the United Kingdom is much slower, but I tried to adjust to it. This trip was the most wonderful experience for me to learn English, so I will use the star-eyed emoji to represent my summer.
