Darts bosses eye Hong Kong for masters stop, Littler, Humphries to take on Asia’s best
Kai Tak Arena seen as potential venue for exhibition event next summer, with organisers saying 8 of world’s top 10 could play
Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and some of the world’s best darts players could be heading to Hong Kong next year, with promoters hoping to stage a masters tournament in Kai Tak Arena.
Officials from the Professional Darts Corporation toured the 10,000-seat venue this week and were said to be “very keen to host an event” at the end of August 2027.
The tournament, which would take place on the weekend after the Australian Dart Masters, would see eight of the world’s top 10 take on eight of Asia’s best, with Hong Kong expected to be given two spots.
If the city did stage a masters, it would become the seventh leg in a series that is expected to begin in Bahrain in January and take in stops in Saudi Arabia, New York, Norway, New Zealand and Australia.
