Wimbledon: Naomi Osaka shows off new look before easy win; China’s Zhang Shuai is ousted

Four-time grand slam champion Naomi Osaka continued to turn on the style at Wimbledon as she eased into the third round, while it was the end of the road at the All England Club this year for Chinese veteran Zhang Shuai.

Osaka, who has won two Australian Open titles and twice at the US Open but not yet at Wimbledon, beat Russia’s Anastasia Gasanova in straight sets.

In a later match, 37-year-old Zhang went down 6-3, 6-2 to the Czech Republic’s Karolina Muchova, the 10th seed, in a match that lasted one hour and nine minutes.
