Temperatures in Hong Kong are set to dip to as low as 14 degrees Celsius (57.2 Fahrenheit) on Sunday after a cold front moves across the coast of Guangdong province, bringing cooler weather until the middle of next week, according to the Observatory.
The weather forecaster said on Saturday that as the cold front moved across the area in the afternoon, local winds would strengthen from the north under the influence of the associated northeast monsoon. There would be a few patches of rain and a significant dip in temperatures, it said.
“The minimum temperature [on Sunday] morning will be around 14 degrees in the urban areas, and it will be cold over parts of the New Territories,” the forecaster said.
