From representing her home country on magazine covers to running a global beauty brand, British-Filipina model Georgina Wilson-Burnand is the quintessential “It” girl in all respects. The former host of Asia’s Next Top Model co-founded Sunnies Studios in the Philippines back in 2013, and has since expanded it from what was once a small line of stylish sunglasses to a full-on beauty brand offering a wide range of eyewear services as well as skincare and cosmetic products.
Wilson-Burnand – a beauty expert who has been tapped for various events, like the Asian edition of the Nikkei & Financial Times Live Business of Luxury Summit in Hong Kong last October – speaks to Style about her timeless style inspiration, beauty tips and more.
What I’m watching

[Last year] was all about The White Lotus for me. I love the character development in the show and the multiple storylines happening at the same time. I’m also watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians because I’m basic like that!
My Instagram inspo

I love Elsa Hosk’s Instagram, @hoskelsa – her house, outfits, everything is just so good.
My go-to beauty products

I’ve been wearing Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint – it’s light but still makes you look polished. For fragrance, I love Le Labo Another 13.
Places I love in Manila

Toyo Eatery – always thoughtful and rooted. The Lobby at Peninsula Manila – it feels festive and familiar.
My favourite souvenirs

I love gifting local woven pieces – placemats, baskets or beach bags from communities in Cebu or La Union. They’re beautiful, practical and feel connected to home. Sunnies is always a favourite gift from the Philippines.
My favourite bling

My diamond engagement ring that I upgraded with two extra stones to represent my three children.
Where I love to stay

Amangiri in Utah – it feels like silence and space. The Upper House in Hong Kong – minimal, calm and everything just works intuitively. Inara Siargao is so charming and one of my favourite places to visit.
Where I’d love to go next

I’ve been wanting to go to Mongolia for a while and definitely need to see Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Would love to see more of India too.
My style icons

Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. I love how timeless she was – clean, feminine and confident in simplicity. Princess Diana is a forever icon to me. I’ve memorised every single outfit of hers. Cher is forever iconic and Michael Jackson has always been a style inspiration for me – I love a good 1980s shoulder.
A product I’m proud of

Fluffmatte. It’s iconic but still effortless – it started a conversation about beauty being simple, accessible and deeply personal. It’s the perfect representation of Sunnies: everyday, elevated and made to make you feel good without trying too hard. And it always looks good. No matter who and no matter what colour.
