The model and socialite’s life is as chic as it is opulent, and she has garnered more than 800,000 followers on Instagram and over 1.2 million on TikTok. Her Parisian apartment is fit for a modern-day royal, and in 2023, she was one of the most highly anticipated attendees at Le Bal des Débutantes, an exclusive debutante ball for the children of the world’s elite.

More recently, the 22-year-old countess announced on Instagram that she had become engaged to François Pinault Jr, son and heir of Kering CEO François Pinault and his first wife, Dorothée Lepère. The luxury group is behind brands such as Gucci and Saint Laurent. The Kerings’ net worth is estimated at close to US$30 billion, per Tatler.

“Got engaged to my best friend and the coolest boy in the world,” Cosima wrote in the caption of her post, which included black-and-white pictures of the happy couple and a shot of their engagement party invitation. The couple has been dating since February last year.

Lara Cosima’s father is one Count Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, a film director and member of the Austro-Hungarian nobility. He is best known for writing and directing the 2006 war film The Lives of Others, which won the Oscar for best international feature film.

Cosima’s mother, Christiane Asschenfeldt, is a lawyer by training, and served as the first international executive director of the non-profit organisation Creative Commons. Cosima has two younger siblings, Leo and Alexis.
