A particularly exciting cast member may be joining the coming season of Dancing with the Stars this September: Jan Ravnik, Taylor Swift’s heartthrob dancer.

This buzz follows the news that Gleb Savchenko, a long-time DWTS fixture, was reportedly fired from the show amid cheating allegations by his ex and former show partner, Brooks Nader. The US Sun reported that Ravnik has been hired as a replacement, joining the cast of stars like Alix Earle and Jen Affleck.
With his athletic build and stand-out stage presence, Ravnik won over Swifties all over the world during the record-breaking 21-month Eras Tour. His “Lavender Haze” performance went viral in 2023, and fans have been head over heels for the dancer and choreographer since.
Here’s what to know about Taylor Swift’s beloved dancer, Jan Ravnik.
His dancing career

Ravnik was born and raised in Slovenia, where he was a successful competitive dancer. His accolades include several national, European and world champion titles. He later moved to Los Angeles to further his career.
Ravnik is also a gifted choreographer. His “So Long, London” routine performed with So You Think You Can Dance alum Audrey Case Shell has almost 385,000 likes on Instagram as of writing. And on August 13, he shared his choreography for Kelly Clarkson’s cover of Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever”.
Who else has he danced with?

Before joining Swift’s team, Ravnik had an impressive résumé dancing on stage with other A-list pop stars. He performed with Mariah Carey during her Merry Christmas to All tour in 2022 and appeared in her Apple TV+ Christmas special. He has also shared the stage with Bruno Mars, Khalid and Lewis Capaldi.

After spending six months in Las Vegas with Paula Abdul for her residency, Ravnik was scouted for Swift’s The Eras Tour – an opportunity that pushed the dancer’s fame to new heights. This year, at the Oscars, Ravnik also turned heads for his part in Margaret Qualley’s James Bond musical tribute.
He is serious about keeping in shape

As is evident from his physique, Ravnik is big on fitness. He frequently shares gym selfies and revealed his training routine in one Instagram post, including cycling, running and weight training. In other posts, Ravnik can be seen enjoying a range of other activities like hiking, surfing and playing tennis.

Ravnik’s Instagram page also features striking photography of the cities he visits, as well as heartwarming moments from family holidays. While The Sun has reported that Ravnik is living in Los Angeles with his wife and children, he does not seem to have confirmed details about his romantic life. However, it is clear that he is a devoted family man, often spending time with the young children in his family.
He has famous lookalikes

Swifties have compared Ravnik’s good looks to those of Puerto Rican singer Chayanne. He’s also been likened to Red, White & Royal Blue actor Taylor Zakhar Perez.
Fans at one of Swift’s performances even erroneously believed there was a special appearance by Post Malone – only to realise they had mistaken Ravnik for the singer. Humorously leaning into the mix-up, Ravnik dressed as the rapper for Halloween last year and called himself “Jan Malone”.
