Zac Efron’s younger brother Dylan Efron has made a name for himself as a reality television star and has appeared on previous seasons of shows such as The Traitors and Dancing with the Stars.
Despite being a television personality and having a famous older brother, Dylan has kept his private life largely out of the limelight. More recently, however, the 34-year-old shared a rare insight into his relationship with long-time girlfriend Courtney King.

“We’re doing really good,” Dylan said about his relationship during an episode of The Viall Files podcast on September 17.
But what do we know about Courtney King? Read on to find out.
When did Dylan Efron and Courtney King meet?

Dylan has reportedly been dating King for over a decade. In March 2025, Dylan revealed on The Viall Files podcast that he and King hail from the same “town” and first crossed paths while attending Arroyo Grande High School in California. The couple began dating and have been together since.
Dylan has described King as someone who is “not on social media” and “works a 40-hour-a-week job”. He previously tagged the account @coourtking in a 2019 Instagram post marking his girlfriend’s birthday. The account, which mostly shared photos taken in nature, last posted in October 2019.
“It works out really well,” Dylan told the podcast. “It’s not like I’m hiding her from the world or anything. She understands the job, all that stuff. She doesn’t really like being on camera.”

While her boyfriend may be in the entertainment business, King seems to prefer supporting Dylan quietly and out of the limelight.
In November 2025, King was spotted at DWTS’ production studio to support Dylan for the show’s season finale.
Are Dylan Efron and Courtney King engaged?

Dylan has yet to pop the question, but he told The Viall Files hosts last year that he has plans to propose.
“That’s something that’s definitely [on the horizon],” he said. “Well, she knows the answer. We’re working on it. Courtney’s so down-to-earth, she’d never [impose a deadline]. Look, we’re 33. She’s not going to put a deadline on it.”
Dylan also shared a sweet detail of their relationship, saying that they like to fall asleep listening to audiobooks together.
“We fight over whose audio we’re gonna listen to,” he said. “It’s like, ‘Are we gonna listen to Jeff Lewis?’ We both agree that we can listen to Viall Files, but otherwise, I have things I want to listen to that she doesn’t want to, so we fight over that quite a bit.”
