The brand-new Apple TV comedy series Brothers, starring Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey, celebrated its Los Angeles premiere last week in a star-studded affair. The show, in which the two Hollywood stars play fictionalised versions of themselves, riffs on real-life speculation that they may share the same biological father.

Harrelson walked the red carpet at the Hammer Museum with his wife, Laura Louie, who is known to be very private, while McConaughey was there with his mother Kay “MaMac” McConaughey, his wife Camila Alves McConaughey, and two of their children, Vida and Levi.

Days later, Harrelson and Louie stepped out for the opening night of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles.

So, what do we know about Laura Louie, the wife of the 65-year-old Now You See Me star?
What is Laura Louie’s background?

According to IMDb, Laura Louie was born on February 28, 1965. Little is known about her childhood, family background or education, but Harrelson described her as the “valedictorian of her class” in a 2006 interview with The Guardian.
The actor previously told The Hollywood Reporter that they met in 1987, when Louie attended a taping of his hit sitcom Cheers as part of a media workshop organised by the University of California, Los Angeles. She later became his personal assistant.
How long have Woody Harrelson and Laura Louie been together?

Louie’s relationship with the Hunger Games star remained professional for three years until he confessed his feelings for her through a song, per People. In response, she revealed she had been in love with him for two and a half years already. They hard-launched their relationship in 1995, when Louie joined Harrelson for the premiere of his film Money Train. They wed in Maui in 2008.
“I just was incapable of long-term relationships. I was with whoever would have me. Then I met my wife,” Harrelson gushed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. The actor courted controversy in 2001 after being photographed in bed with three women, but he told the outlet that Louie forgave him.
Louie and Harrelson share three daughters: Deni Montana, 32, Zoe Giordano, 30, and Makani Ravello, 20. The family once lived in an eco-village in Maui powered by solar energy, per SF Gate. “At the end of the night, when the lights go out, you just look out at the valley, and the only lights are stars,” Harrelson recalled.
She’s an entrepreneur

According to People, Louie is passionate about food and cooking, and she combined that passion with her love for the environment into a business. She is the co-founder of organic food delivery company Yoganics, which operated around Texas until 2015. She later launched another business, Yoganics Maui, focusing on wellness through yoga and health-conscious foods.
Louie and her husband are also involved with the Voice Yourself web community, through which they support various environmental initiatives.
