Presley Gerber, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, reportedly died of a suspected overdose at a rehabilitation facility on Sunday. He was 27.
His family, including younger sister and model Kaia Gerber, have asked for “privacy during this very difficult and painful time”, TMZ reported.
Lexi Wood, Gerber’s ex-girlfriend, took to Instagram two days after his passing to pay a heartfelt tribute, accompanied by a carousel of photos of her and Gerber.

“It’s hard to put into words what it means to lose someone who was such a meaningful part of my life for so many years. Through every chapter and every version of our relationship, friendship was always at the core of it,” the Summer House star wrote.
“Everyone who loved Presley and was loved by him knows he was one of the kindest, most open, loving and courageous people. He loved so deeply, so purely, was incredibly romantic and thoughtful. He was also incredibly resilient. He fought so hard for his life and he was brave enough to be open about that fight. More than anything, he wanted to use his story to help other people, and he did,” she added.

Lexi Wood and Presley Gerber dated briefly

Wood and Gerber hard-launched their relationship in November 2022 with a since-deleted Instagram post, captioned by Gerber: “Guys, I did it. I’ve found the person that makes me the happiest I’ve ever been.”
The reality television star attended a Halloween party organised by Gerber’s parents that year, and even joined his family on the red carpet.
The couple reportedly met through mutual friends several years prior, but things seemingly didn’t take a romantic turn until 2022.
Gerber even professed his love for Wood during a Q&A session on his Instagram Stories in November 2022, saying “I have been in love with her since the day I laid eyes on her.”
Unfortunately, their romance lasted only a month, with Wood reportedly ending things with him.

While the relationship was brief, Wood wrote in her tribute to Gerber that she felt “lucky to have shared so many years of friendship, so many memories and so much love with him”. She added: “He will always hold such a special place in my heart, and we will all miss him forever.”
Before her relationship with Gerber, Wood was known to have dated Brooklyn Beckham.
Charlotte D’Alessio

Gerber reportedly dated Canadian model Charlotte D’Alessio for two years from 2018 before he and Wood were romantically involved.
D’Alessio took to Instagram on Monday to share photos of herself with Gerber. “Shared a pure love with you & for that I thank & honor your life. You deserved more time. You deserved more life. Very angry ab[out] this,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories, alongside an image of the late model embracing her.
In a follow-up story, she shared further photos of the former couple, adding: “Love u Pres. always. Up there, down here. Don’t even doubt that. We all love you so much. I hope you can feel it.”

Gerber was relatively private about his romantic life and revealed little to no information on his previous relationships. However, he was linked to models Sydney Brooke, Cameron Rorrison, Cayley King, Hana Cross and Isabella Jones, per TV Insider.
