Cindy Crawford’s son Presley Gerber has sadly passed away. The 27-year-old reportedly died on Sunday, September 20, at a rehab facility, as per TMZ.
Presley’s parents, Crawford and Rande Gerber, as well as his younger sister Kaia Gerber, have asked for “privacy during this very difficult and painful time”, TMZ reported.
Presley’s official cause of death has yet to be announced. The late model was known to have struggled with his mental health and an opiate addiction. Just last month, Kaia opened up to Vogue about her brother’s decade-long drug addiction and how it had impacted her family.

“When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,” Kaia told Vogue in an interview published on August 11. “I think that’s also why I started to self- identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help. Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing.”
Last December, Presley had also spoken at length about his mental health struggles and dependency on multiple medications he had been prescribed by 15 different psychiatrists.
“The doctors say a lot of different things, so it’s kind of scary, but hopefully between my research and their research … and God, we can figure this out,” he said in a video he had shared on Instagram on December 1, 2025, which is no longer available as of Monday afternoon. “The things that scare me are the things you need to take … if you don’t take them, something not good happens. And there’s a spectrum there on how intense the withdrawal from certain medications is.”

“I’d like doctors to be like, ‘Take this three times a day’ … but every psychiatrist I’ve had – I’ve had 15 – are like, ‘Here’s 20 medications and take this if you feel like this … and I’m like, ‘No, don’t get me that much leeway.’ I need some direction,” he said.
He added he hoped his video “reaches people in many ways”.
“So you feel like you’re not alone, because that is how I feel most of the time and I have a feeling that if I say all of this, a lot of people will at least know that there’s someone else going through it. And the second thing is, hopefully I find some people out here [who] are willing to help or know someone that can help,” he said.
In 2024, Presley revealed that he had fallen into a coma for several days after a near-fatal fentanyl overdose, according to media reports.

Supermodel Crawford and businessman Gerber welcomed Presley in July 1999. In 2021, Rande celebrated his son’s birthday with a touching Instagram post featuring a snap of the father embracing a young Presley.
“Happy Bday Prez! The love and bond we have means everything. I’m so proud of the man you have become and the work you have done this past year personally and professionally. Ready to launch! I love you,” Gerber captioned the post.

What is Rande Gerber known for?

Aside from his famous wife, 64-year-old Gerber is known for being a businessman in the entertainment industry. Per his bio on the University of Arizona’s alumni section, he founded nightlife companies Midnight Oil and the Gerber Group with his brothers and launched Casamigos Tequila with George Clooney and Michael Meldman in 2013. As reported by CNBC, Casamigos Tequila was sold to Diageo for as much as US$1 billion in 2017.
He is also a former model who was scouted by Ford Models when he was just 16, according to The New York Times.

In a 2018 Business Insider report, Gerber was listed as having an impressive net worth of US$100 million. That figure has since been upped to an estimated US$400 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
