Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s middle daughter, Maggie McGraw, just got engaged.
According to an Instagram post shared on August 30 by the McGraws’ eldest daughter, Gracie, Maggie’s boyfriend James Rubin proposed “in the greatest, most Maggie way possible, filled with flowers and family”. The carousel of images includes a snap of Maggie sipping bubbly while showing off her engagement ring.

Gracie wrote in her post that she and her youngest sister, Audrey, helped Rubin set up the proposal. Gracie added to her brother-in-law-to-be, “Thank you @jamesrubin170 for making my sister the happiest lady in all the land.”

She has a master’s from Stanford

Maggie McGraw was born in August 1998 and is the second of McGraw and Hill’s three daughters.
Unlike her sisters – Gracie is an actress and Audrey, a singer – Maggie did not pursue a career in entertainment. She attended Stanford University as an undergraduate, then completed a master’s degree in sustainability and science, graduating in 2021.

“We are so incredibly proud of our Maggie May!” her father wrote at the time of her master’s graduation. “I have such admiration for her work ethic, her fierce love of her family, and especially her passion to make the world a better place … Go get ’em my sweet girl! Proud Pop!”
She works for Major League Baseball

Maggie began her career by briefly working as a legislative correspondent for the US House of Representatives in 2022. She went on to spend a year as a legislative aide working on foreign affairs, defence and veterans’ issues for the US Senate.
Since March this year, Maggie has worked as an intelligence analyst for Major League Baseball.
Who is her fiancé?

While she may have grown up the child of country music legends, Maggie has chosen to remain largely out of the limelight. There is little information available on her fiancé, but in a recent birthday post dedicated to Maggie, Gracie mentioned that Maggie was living with “the love of [her] life”, and their three cats and one dog, in New York. “It’s the most wonderful sight to behold,” Gracie gushed.
Rubin first appeared on Maggie’s Instagram in 2024, when she shared a snap of the two of them in black tie. “A moment for the dress (and the date),” she captioned the post.
