The Fifa 2026 World Cup is here – and England is set to play Croatia on June 17 in its first game of the group stage.
Last month, Thomas Tuchel, head coach of the England men’s national football team, announced the line-up of players representing at the grand sporting spectacle.

Included in the England squad is first-choice goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, making this his third World Cup appearance, along with strikers Harry Kane – also the captain – Marcus Rashford, and defender John Stones. Midfielder Jordan Henderson is playing in his fourth World Cup.


As the buzz around the Three Lions grows, fans are also curious about the players’ personal lives away from the pitch – and the WAGs who keep them going. Pickford’s wife Megan Davison, in particular, has long been a rock for the player and is often seen supporting him from the stands.
So, who is Megan Davison?
What’s Megan Davison’s background?

Davison was born on March 1, 1996. Not much information is known about her family and childhood, as she has largely kept her personal life under wraps. She is reportedly a graduate of the University of Sunderland and has 140,000 followers on Instagram at the time of writing. Her content revolves around fashion, family and lifestyle.

Pickford, 32, and Davison, 30, were reportedly teenage sweethearts. According to The Independent, they met at St Robert of Newminster Catholic School in Tyne and Wear, England. They became a couple when he was 16 and she was 14.
The world found out they were engaged at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, when Davison showed up to support her man with a stunning £500,000 (US$669,000) sparkler on her ring finger.
In less happy news, Davison had to get the ring cut off her finger the following year while she was pregnant with their first-born and her fingers became swollen, preventing her from removing the ring. “We’ve been to the jewellers for the chop,” she captioned an Instagram Story showing her ring-free hand, after posting about the saga on the social media platform.

Due to Covid restrictions, the pair first said their “I dos” in a registry office in Crewe, Cheshire, in 2020, per The Independent. They later hosted a gorgeous beach wedding in the Maldives in 2022. “Worth the wait for the most magical day with my soulmate,” the missus wrote on Instagram, sharing snaps from the dreamy ceremony, which was reportedly held in the presence of 13 friends and family members.

Davison welcomed her first child with Pickford, son Arlo George, in 2019. Their family grew when they had their first daughter, Ostara Haze, in 2023. In 2025, they were blessed with another baby girl, whom they named Misty Celine.
