She once lived in China before going to Yale – and being viewed as a nepo baby is something she has accepted
Ryan Murphy’s hit FX series Love Story is coming to a close, but fans are not ready to say goodbye. The show follows the highly publicised romance between “America’s prince”, John F. Kennedy Jr – son of former US president John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis – and his fashion publicist wife, Carolyn Bessette, who tragically lost their lives in a plane crash in 1999.

The success of Love Story has launched leading actors Paul Anthony Kelly and Sarah Pidgeon to fame – and is also bringing attention to the rest of the cast. One such actor turning heads is Sophie von Haselberg, who plays Tanya, Bessette’s manager at Calvin Klein.

So, who is Sophie von Haselberg?
She comes from a famous family

Sophie Frederica Alohilani von Haselberg is the daughter of legendary actress Bette Midler and Martin von Haselberg of The Kipper Kids fame. She was born on November 14, 1986, in Los Angeles, California, and lived there for the first seven years of her life before moving to New York after an earthquake, per Interview magazine. There, she attended the Nightingale-Bamford School for Girls. She pursued sociology and East Asian studies at Yale University, spent some time studying in China, and interned at Vanity Fair. She later got a master of fine arts degree from Yale Drama School. In 2020, she tied the knot with boyfriend Harry J.N. Guinness.
How did she get into acting?

Von Haselberg revealed in her conversation with Interview magazine that she always knew she would follow in her mother’s footsteps. “I probably wanted to be an actor when I was five, but I wouldn’t have told anybody because my mom would’ve gotten mad at me,” she told the outlet.
