Carole Radziwill, a former journalist and TV personality, was married to John F. Kennedy Jr’s cousin and close friend Prince Anthony Radziwill for five years before he succumbed to a rare form of cancer, passing away just three weeks after JFK Jr had died in a plane crash near Martha’s Vineyard.

The now 62-year-old widow and her late husband were close friends of JFK Jr and Carolyn Bessette, whose tragic story is detailed in Ryan Murphy’s hit series Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette. The show features characters like Ethel Kennedy, played by actress Jessica Harper, and Radziwill’s husband Anthony, who serves as the best man at JFK Jr and Bessette’s wedding – and yet the series fails to mention Carole Radziwill herself.

She’s an award-winning journalist

Born Carole DiFalco, Radziwill grew up in New York and has Italian-American roots. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Hunter College in New York and a master’s in business administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

She started her career in journalism as an unpaid intern at ABC News, eventually rising to the role of producer. She is an award-winning journalist recognised for her work on documentaries including the award-winning From the Killing Fields. Throughout her career, the reporter earned three Emmy awards and a Peabody award.

She met her husband Anthony while reporting
