Meet Sofia Bryant, who plays Anika in The Summer I Turned Pretty

The final season of Amazon Prime Video’s The Summer I Turned Pretty introduced fans to some new faces – including Belly’s friend Anika, played by I Am Not Okay With This star Sofia Bryant.

As one of Belly’s first friends outside of her childhood circle, Anika “represents a more mature version of Belly”, said Bryant, 25, in an interview with Teen Vogue. Anika has a slight clash with Belly’s long-time best friend, Taylor (played by Rain Spencer), who is unsure about “sharing” her closest friend. But Anika doesn’t want any drama. “Anika’s not really here for the nonsense,” Bryant told Teen Vogue. “She’s here to be a good person and have a good time and be kind where it counts and reciprocate.”
