Where is the ‘Queen of Experimental Pop’ Björk in 2024? With 4 decades in the industry, the Icelandic artist is passionate about environmental activism – and released a song with Rosalía last year

While many of us experienced anxiety, sadness and loneliness during the pandemic, it would not be an exaggeration to say that Icelandic singer-songwriter and composer Björk thrived. She recorded her 11th album Fossora during “an unexpectedly happy lockdown in Reykjavík”, per The Guardian.

Now, years out of the pandemic, Björk remains based in her native land, having divided her time between there and various parts of the globe over the past four decades – from London and New York to the Spanish region of Andalusia.
