When it comes to Rihanna’s luxury watch collection, every single piece just work, work, work, work, works. The Barbados-born singer-turned-business mogul has spent nearly two decades building an empire and a career in entertainment, and with a net worth of US$1.7 billion, she’s earned every bit of her style icon status.
Never one to shy away from a statement piece, Rihanna has long embraced the world of luxury timepieces, making curated picks, forging relationships with top watchmakers, and consistently stepping out in rare, droolworthy models. From diamond-studded fine jewellery to bold, custom one-offs, here are some of the stand-out watches in Riri’s personal collection.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak

One thing’s for sure: nobody does pregnancy couture like Rihanna. Last month, she stepped out in a floaty, ruffled Saint Laurent maternity dress, grounded with practical Puma trainers – and on her wrist, a not-so-practical Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 77450OR, fresh off the line. This 34mm beauty is crafted from 18-carat pink gold with a matching pink Grande Tapisserie dial and integrated bracelet – a monochrome masterpiece that’s as feminine as it is fierce. It’s newly released and already making waves in the resale market, commanding prices close to US$90,000.
Cartier Panthère de Cartier

Another fabulous women’s watch in Rihanna’s collection is the oh-so-chic Cartier Panthère de Cartier, a timepiece she’s been spotted wearing on repeat. It’s no surprise why: this elegant yellow-gold timepiece is the definition of versatile. With its petite, polished silhouette, it’s the kind of watch that works for just about anything, from red carpets and power lunches to late-night parties and casual errand runs. It’s quiet luxury at its best – and, worth somewhere in the neighbourhood of US$28,200, it’s a nice affordable price point … if you’re a billionaire pop star and entrepreneur, of course.
Cartier Santos

Rihanna’s love for Cartier doesn’t stop at the Panthère. She’s also been seen wearing the iconic Cartier Santos, a watch that shares the same sleek design language but with a more structured, industrial edge. Where the Panthère flows like jewellery thanks to its silky, five-link bracelet, the Santos leans tougher: a bold square case, exposed screws and chunkier links that make it feel more unisex. The Fenty Beauty founder was spotted wearing it out and about, running errands like grocery shopping (she’s just like us!) stacking it with gold bangles (OK, not just like us), proving that luxury doesn’t need an occasion.
Jacob & Co Flying Tourbillon choker

Not everything in Rihanna’s collection is so subtle. To attend Pharrell’s debut Louis Vuitton runway show in Paris, she turned to New York jewellery house Jacob & Co to customise one of its already extravagant Brilliant Flying Tourbillon models, priced at a cool US$670,000.
Crafted in 18-karat white gold and encrusted with 338 baguette-cut white diamonds across the dial, crown and case – plus another 338 diamonds on the tourbillon movement – the watch is already built to grab attention. But Rihanna took it a step further, asking the brand to modify the watch into a choker, which surprisingly uses good old-fashioned Velcro as a fastener for the custom alligator-embossed leather strap.
Jacob & Co Brilliant Skeleton Northern Lights

Of course, we can’t talk about Rihanna and Jacob & Co without mentioning the red-hot wrist candy she wore during her 2023 Super Bowl half-time performance. She wore the brand’s Brilliant Skeleton Northern Lights, a model featuring coloured mineral crystal dials (available in red, green, blue or black) designed to mimic the shimmering skies of its namesake natural phenomenon. It also features skeletonised architecture, showcasing the intricate mechanics beneath the dial, and a total of over 300 diamonds. Riri opted for the red version – presumably to match her custom all-red ensemble by Loewe and Alaïa – and more recently brought it back in a dressed-down look while out in Paris in July. It costs US$76,000.

Riri also loves a Rolex moment, and her go-to is a yellow gold Day-Date, the legendary “Presidential” watch long associated with power, status and serious influence (which tracks – she’s a Barbadian queen). She wears the classic 36mm reference, complete with a fluted bezel, which is just right on her smaller wrist. She’s been spotted rocking it in full pregnancy glow mode, belly out and unbothered, and in a video she posted last year where she raps along to GloRilla’s “TGIF” to partner A$AP Rocky. It’s worth around US$18,500.

Another day, another iconic maternity serve. Back in 2022, Rihanna announced her first pregnancy by casually strolling past the paparazzi in a puffy pink Chanel coat – unbuttoned to reveal her baby bump – and an exceptionally cool wrist flex: the Rolex King Midas. Less mainstream than the Day-Date but just as much a watch for power players, the King Midas was designed in the 1960s by legendary watchmaker Gérald Genta (the man behind Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak and Patek Philippe’s Nautilus). Named after the mythical king who turned everything he touched to gold, the watch is carved from a single block of 18k gold. Rihanna’s version is fully custom, featuring intermittent etched links with a textured, wavelike pattern, created by Thai jeweller Patcharavipa Bodiratnangkura.
Chopard Happy Sport

Back in 2017, Rihanna had a turn as an ambassador for Swiss jewellery house Chopard, co-designing a capsule collection and regularly stepping out in some of the brand’s most dazzling pieces – including this diamond-encrusted white gold Happy Sport from the Happy Sport Joaillerie collection. Though not as widely known as some of her other timepieces, this glittering number has accompanied her during major milestones, including the Savage X Fenty show during New York Fashion Week in 2019. It’s valued at US$130,000.

To round out this list of heavy hitters, Rihanna has also been spotted wearing a Patek Philippe Nautilus Flyback Chronograph, ref. 5980. The watch’s warm rose gold is balanced by a moody black dial, as well as the Nautilus’ iconic octagonal design. Reportedly priced around US$89,800, this supremely sought-after watch can easily fetch high prices on the secondary market.
