This year’s programme debuted the 10 Asian Designers to Watch runway, featuring labels from Hong Kong, mainland China, South Korea, Thailand, and the Philippines

Fashion rarely stands still, and the forces shaping it – from changing consumer tastes and regional growth to the need for more convincing brand narratives – are moving particularly fast. At Fashion Asia Hong Kong 2026, the Fashion Challenges Forum turned its attention to those pressures, bringing industry figures together at Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong on September 4.

Rather than treating fashion as a purely aesthetic pursuit, the forum approached it as a business in connection with culture, commerce and new audiences. The Luxury Dialogue examined business strategies for leading luxury brands, while a session on the rise of Southeast Asian luxury considered Thai commercial milestones and emerging-market opportunities. Elsewhere, speakers discussed the global growth of menswear, the cultural role of fashion exhibitions and the value of authentic storytelling for brands seeking consumer connection.
