Popcorn heiress Hannah Chody has a great time when she’s jet-setting around the globe – well, most of the time, anyway.

On a trip to Milan with her husband last year, the 32-year-old said they went through a scary encounter and wanted to warn others about it, the Daily Mail reported.

“I don’t know if anyone in Milan has experienced this,” she shared on TikTok. “This guy approached my husband, and kept saying, ‘scarpa, scarpa, scarpa’”, which means shoes in Italian. “And I was like looking at my husband’s shoes, like, what is going on? And I was like, no, let’s keep going.”
She went on to share that the guy started “hounding us, harassing us”.

She added that they were probably using the shoes comment as a tactic to rob them. “We think it’s like a tactic of pickpocketers, or guys trying to rob you,” shared the influencer.
With almost 300,000 followers on TikTok and Instagram at the time of writing, her message is likely to have helped several of her fashion-loving followers. So who exactly is Hannah Chody? Here’s what you need to know about her.

Chody is the daughter of Lance Chody, the man behind Chicago popcorn empire Garrett Popcorn, founded in 1949. Lance bought the brand from the Garrett family in 2005 and it can now be found in more than 50 places, including Tokyo and Singapore.
She’s a fashion and beauty influencer

Hannah Chody has become a social media sensation. But besides being an influencer, she worked at Goldman Sachs for more than six years and now serves as the vice-president of corporate strategy and e-commerce at Garrett Brands.
She lives a lavish life

The heiress is known for her ultra-lavish hauls, which include purchases from luxury brands like Chanel and Hermès, notes the Daily Mail. She also travels the world, visiting destinations including Lake Como, Las Vegas, Dubai and Hong Kong, to name a few.
Who is Hannah Chody’s husband?

In June 2022, Chody tied the knot with Chad Milburn in a stunning ceremony at Lake Como, Italy. “Two years since the most insane, fun, perfect, and best celebration of our lives. I love you most @chad.t.milburn,” she wrote last year in an Instagram caption to throwback photos of their wedding.
