Angel Reese showed some public support for her brother Julian “Juju” Reese after his final college basketball game last week, as reported by People magazine.

“Proud of you!” the WNBA star, 22, wrote on her Instagram Story following her little brother’s game – which resulted in a loss – for the Maryland men’s basketball team at the NCAA tournament.
Maryland were eliminated from March Madness by Florida with a score of 87-71, per MSN. Julian has now reportedly completed his senior season and is waiting to see if his name is called in the NBA Draft in June.

The Reese siblings are known to be super close. Here’s what we know about Julian.
Who are Julian and Angel Reese’s parents?

Angel and Julian Reese have basketball in their blood. Their parents, Michael and Angel Webb Reese, were both college basketball players who are now separated, per Essentially Sports. Angel played for the University of Maryland before going pro in Luxembourg, while Michael pursued the sport during his time at Boston College and Loyola University in Maryland.
Unsurprisingly, basketball was a huge part of Angel and Julian’s upbringing. “Everything was always competitive with my younger brother,” Angel told What’s Up? in 2022. “We had a basketball court in front of our house, and it was always very competitive and intense. We played all the time together. It helped shape me to who I am now.”
Where did Julian and Angel Reese grow up?

The duo grew up in Maryland, notes People magazine.

“Our school was literally across the street from a prison,” Angel told Women’s Health last February. “I was lucky enough to have skills and be able to make it out of there.”
Where does Julian Reese study?

Julian, 21, followed in his sister’s footsteps to study at the University of Maryland. He reportedly didn’t want to leave Maryland because of his love of the college’s basketball team, the Terrapins, notes What’s Up?
“It seemed like the best place to be for me,” he told the media outlet, referring to the reason he returned to Maryland for his senior year. “It’s one of the reasons I came back for my senior year. I probably would have gone pro if I didn’t come back.”
Are Julian and Angel Reese close?

The siblings seem super close. In fact, the whole family is tight-knit.
“It’s great because my mother can come to all the games,” Angel told What’s Up? when asked whether it was special that her little brother also played for Maryland. “It’s just great to have Julian here. We learn from each other. We talk to each other before games and after games to see what pointers we can give each other. It’s fun and so great.”

She said that they hang out in each other’s rooms and bond over his pet dog. “He has a dog, so I will go hang out with his dog,” she said. “We also see each other in the gym, and we will eat dinner together sometimes.”

The siblings’ mother explained to Sports Illustrated that Angel has a “very strong personality” while Julian is more “laid back”. “You will see him, definitely, before you hear him,” she said. “He’s not a young man of many words.”
By way of example, she told the story of Julian’s cool reaction to hearing that he and Angel had scored a deal with Tom Brady. “The Tom Brady deal, when I found out about it I was like, ‘You’re going to New York!’ They’re gonna fly you there – first class!’” she said. “He was so nonchalant about it. I was like, ‘You’re representing Tom Brady! Tom Brady!’”
Julian has also talked about how basketball brought him and his sister closer together. “We have played together a lot over the years,” he shared with What’s Up? “We played on the same team in elementary school and in rec league. We played really good in those leagues. We were always close because of basketball. We bonded that way.”
