When you’re famous, the fact that your image is all over the internet comes with the territory – but the same doesn’t have to go for your children.
Last year, British singer and TV personality Peter Andre spoke out about the dangers of AI when he wrote in OK! that he plans never to share photos of his three youngest children online.

“It seems that the last two or three years have taken AI to a different level, and not always in a good way,” he wrote, adding that even though he gets excited and wants to “show everyone how cute [his kids] are”, we just “don’t know enough about how these images can be used in future”.
So just who is the self-aware celeb who rose to fame in the 90s and has barely been out of the headlines since? Here’s what you need to know about Peter Andre.
Who is Peter Andre?

Born Peter James Andrea in London in 1973, he was the youngest of six children born to Greek Cypriot parents, per The Guardian. “My parents were devout Jehovah’s Witnesses and very strict Christians,” he told the paper, adding that he inherited his musical talent from his paternal grandfather who was the “equivalent of a gospel singer, but in the Greek churches”.

When Andre was 10, the family moved to Australia, and by age 16 he had appeared on a variety show that scored him his first recording contract. Not long after, he was packed off to the UK again to record his first big hit “Gimme Little Sign”, which got to number 3 in Australia.
What is Peter Andre famous for?

It was Andre’s second single in 1996 – his sunshiny, reggae-inspired song “Mysterious Girl” – that propelled him to the big time globally. Not least because the video featured a topless 23-year-old Andre frolicking in a lagoon in Thailand.


“We were climbing up a waterfall and I said [to the film crew], ‘Guys, this looks like a great location,’ because I was really part of developing this whole image,” he told Sky News last April, adding that these days the fact that he’s wearing jeans in the water is met with “eye rolls” from his kids.
His first big relationship was a headline grabber – and still is

In 2004, Andre appeared on the UK reality TV show I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here alongside famous British glamour model Katie Price – then better known by her pseudonym Jordan. The two fell in love on screen and were married a year later in an OTT, Beckham-esque ceremony at Highclere Castle (aka Downton Abbey). Price went full Disney princess in an enormous pink meringue wedding dress, while Andre wore a white silk tuxedo studded with Swarovski crystals.

The pair had two children together, Junior and Princess, but split four years later in a tumultuous divorce that left Andre “devastated” at the time, per The Express. And even though it’s been 15 years since the couple split, mudslinging headlines about their relationship continue to this day.
Who is Peter Andre’s wife?

Andre found love again with British nurse Emily MacDonagh in 2010, per Hello!, and the pair tied the knot in 2015. They now have three children together: 10-year-old Amelia “Millie” Andre, seven-year-old Theo, and four-month-old Arabella. “Baby has been spoilt with cuddles from Junior, Princess, Amelia and Theo who are all in love with their new little sister”, he wrote on X last April after the birth.
What is Peter Andre doing now?

Since I’m a Celebrity, Andre has become a bona fide reality TV star in the UK, appearing on everything from Strictly Come Dancing and Peter Andre’s 60 Minute Makeover to Peter Andre: The Next Chapter.

He’s also done several cameos in UK indie films, regularly pops up on daytime talk shows, hosts a weekly segment on controversial channel GB News, and even voices the character of Ace on popular British children’s programme Thomas & Friends.
Next up? “Emily and I are in talks about doing some presenting together,” he wrote in his OK! column last August. “Watch this space!”
