Kris Jenner and Kathy Hilton have plenty of things in common – among them, being mothers to two of the most iconic women in modern pop culture.

As the mums of Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton, they’ve watched their daughters grow up in the spotlight and become influential women in their own right.

Kim and Paris, who are both ultra-wealthy entrepreneurs, have both been open about their gratitude for what their mums have done for them, as well as their privilege growing up. Meanwhile, it seems their mums have only grown closer as the years have gone by.

Here’s a look inside their friendship.
Kris Jenner and Kathy Hilton’s friendship goes back decades

According to British media, Jenner and Hilton have been friends for decades, with their friendship being the most likely reason their daughters became pals in the noughties.

Per Us Weekly, Kim and Paris have known each other since preschool and they were seen hanging out a lot in the years that followed. “Paris and I have been friends since we were kids,” Kim said in an interview on the Today show in April 2008.
They hang out at many events

Jenner and Hilton continue to be snapped at events together even now – from Paris Hilton’s Y2K launch party with Klarna last year, to the Daily Front Row’s Fashion Los Angeles Awards in 2022, and at an event for The Glam App in 2019.
The reality TV stints

Both mothers have become household names thanks to reality TV.

Kris Jenner is known for being the brains behind the show Keeping Up with the Kardashians (since revamped and rebranded for Hulu as The Kardashians) alongside her daughters Kylie, Kendall, Khloé, Kourtney and Kim. Meanwhile, from 2020 to 2023, Kathy joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills with her half-siblings Kim Richards and Kyle Richards.

However it’s Kathy’s daughter Paris who is widely credited for being a pioneer in the genre, with her show The Simple Life which ran from 2003 to 2007.
Does Kathy Hilton get along with the Kardashians?

Back in 2022, fans of Bravo’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills went wild on social media after Lisa Rinna accused Hilton of being jealous of the Kardashian-Jenner family. But it hardly seems to be the case, as she’s often pictured hanging out with the family matriarch and supporting members of the reality TV clan.
In an interview with Australian media, Hilton said, “I have supported those girls on everything they do”.
