Donnie Yen and Cissy Wang might be Hong Kong’s most stylish power couple. Or at least, among the top contenders.

This was especially obvious when the duo posted pics of their extravagant vow renewal celebrations in Lake Como earlier this month, where they took resortwear to a whole new level. Long red corset gowns. Patterned sets. Head-to-toe white. Tuxedos – of course – for the ever-dapper Yen.
Yen and Wang have proven to us time and time again that sartorial prowess comes naturally to them. Let’s take a look at their best couple looks in 2023 so far.
1. Donnie Yen’s 60th birthday bash

Last week, Yen celebrated his 60th birthday in Lake Como after the couple renewed their vows in the same location. The Ip Man star’s wife took the bash to a whole new level by inviting singer-songwriter Paul Anka to perform – to her husband’s delight.

We loved this strong couple look, with Yen donning an eye-catching shirt and shorts set without outshining Wang’s bold lady-in-red gown with lace overlay.
2. Wedding vow renewals

The lovebirds arrived in style to renew their vows and mark their 20th wedding anniversary at Villa Balbiano, the same estate featured in the 2021 film House of Gucci starring Lady Gaga. While the fashionistas switched among several outfits during their July trip, we loved this classy and memorable tux on Yen and embellished dress hugging all the right places on Wang.
3. Parisian getaway

In May, the jet-setting couple showed off their je ne sais quoi style in Paris. Yen sported an all-white look while Wang went leather-chic, both completing their outfits with a pair of shades. They were photographed at Langosteria restaurant.
4. Cissy Wang’s sweet birthday surprise

This doting duo is always expressing their affection to one another! In April, Don arranged a lovely birthday cake for his wife along with some beautiful flower bouquets. He wore a crisp Kenzo shirt while Wang looked ever so elegant in a long floral shirt dress.

5. Jimmy Kimmel Live! with the family

Yen appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote the film John Wick: Chapter 4 in March and was supported by his family – Wang and kids Jasmine and James – who came to watch his big debut.
Known to be fond of many luxury designers, the stylish twosome brought their fashion A-game for the red carpet moment. Yen opted for a look from Valentino and Celine, while Wang shone in her Michael Kors LBD, Versace clutch bag and jewellery from David Yurman and De Beers.
6. BMW event at Hong Kong Jockey Club

It’s hardly surprising that Yen and Wang are often invited to Hong Kong’s most exclusive events. A few days before their LA pic was posted, the former beauty pageant queen, 42, shared their experience at Hong Kong Jockey Club and BMW’s derby race. The John Wick actor, 60, wore a baby-blue suit that complemented his wife’s ivory-white frayed sleeve suit dress.

7. Academy Awards

Wang joined her martial arts star husband at the Oscars this year, where he introduced a performance for best song nominees during the award ceremony.
They were a vision on the champagne-coloured carpet, with Yen’s Celine tuxedo and Wang’s Valentino two-tone dress turning heads paired with Tiffany & Co. bling. The Hong Kong A-listers also took selfies with Ke Huy Quan, Brendan Fraser, Ana de Armas, Steven Spielberg, James Hong, Michael B. Jordan and Vin Diesel at the event.
8. Bangkok fine diners

The couple headed to one of their favourite restaurants, two-Michelin-starred Sühring, to enjoy some fine dining while in Bangkok this February. They dressed up for the occasion, with Yen wearing a shirt from Dsquared2 and Wang looking graceful in a sleeveless floral-print dress.
9. #ProudWife at the Sakra premiere

Back in January, Wang hashtagged her post #ProudWife to celebrate her husband’s new film Sakra. Wang opted for an outfit from Balmain paired with heels from Giuseppe Zanotti.
