The first item on this list is one of monumental proportions considering the young age of Varun Dhawan. At just 32, he has become one of the highest-paid Bollywood actors. This pay scale is a direct result of his film career success. With 17 acting credits to his name, including shorts, according to IMDB and many more projects in the pipeline he has found success on screen, even though his very first film success was not even as an actor: Varun Dhawan served as assistant director for the 2010 film My Name Is Khan, which was directed by one of Dhawan’s mentors, Karan Johar.
He has some 25 credits to his name already

Starting with Varun Dhawan’s film debut in 2012’s Student of the Year, the star has performed in 17 titles that have been released so far, and will star in a total of 25 by the year 2021, according to IMDb. Most of them have found great success, propelling the young actor into the role of Bollywood superstar, and one of the most bankable today.
Dhawan has received 36 total film nominations and won 19 awards altogether, including an NBT Utsav Award for Best Male Actor for his performance in the 2018 film October, a Stardust Award for Best Actor – Comedy/Romance in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and a Star Guild Award for Best Actor in a Comic Role for Main Tera Hero. A few these films won the actor more than one award each, which only further emphasises the talent of this young performer.

Varun Dhawan did not always have the fame he has now. In fact, the actor has worked less exciting jobs as well. Most notable was his job passing out fliers at nightclubs while attending Nottingham Trent University in the UK where he studied business management. It appears that this training did the actor good as he left school (class of 2008) and started his career with a bang – and hasn’t stopped since.

The final titbit about the star to make this list is that he has eight new projects that will be hitting the screens, likely in the next two years. He is currently filming Street Dancer 3D, directed by Remo D’Souza. It stars Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi and Prabhu Deva.
Another one we’re excited to watch is Coolie No. 1, a remake of the 1995 comedy film of the same name. Directed by Varun’s father, David Dhawan, who also directed the original, this production pairs him with Sara Ali Khan. And yet another film, Rannbhoomi is planned for late 2020. All of them promise big things, and – with the track record of Dhawan – there’s little doubt they’ll both find success with casual film-goers and diehard fans alike.
