Miranda Kerr is another celeb to post about the MRI scans, which can show early signs of potential medical issues – but can also cause unnecessary worry

When Kim Kardashian posted a photo of herself in Prenuvo’s signature grey scrubs in August 2023, captioning it “I recently did this @prenuvo scan and had to tell you all about this life-saving machine,” it wasn’t so much a wellness recommendation as a cultural moment. Prenuvo, for the uninitiated, is a US-based health start-up offering full-body MRI scans to anyone willing to pay, no doctor’s referral required. Within days of Kardashian’s post, sign-ups spiked.
But Kardashian wasn’t even the first. Miranda Kerr had posted her Prenuvo visit in January of that year, Ian Somerhalder in February, Paris Hilton had given the company her own shout-out, and Kris Jenner got scanned on the family’s Hulu show. But Kardashian’s post, with its million-follower reach, was the real turning point, landing the full-body MRI squarely in the same conversation as cold plunging, continuous glucose monitoring and wearable health trackers.
