It is all about music in the Greater Bay Area this October, with concerts from some of the biggest names in Cantopop, as well as a performance by American rapper Travis Scott, plus a major music festival.
Read on for more details on what is going on in cities near Hong Kong.
1. Strawberry Music Festival Guangzhou

The 2025 Guangzhou Super Strawberry Festival will take place at the city’s Nansha Music Showcase from October 2-4.
The three-day extravaganza, among China’s biggest outdoor music festivals, has a great international line-up, including Solitude is Bliss – an alternative rock band from Chiang Mai, Thailand – and XG, a Japanese-Korean girl group.
The second day of the festival, October 3, will be “Cantonese day”, during which big-name performers will include Miriam Yeung Chin-wah, Karen Mok Man-wai, Grasshopper and Mr, as well as younger artists such as Phil Lam Yik-hong and Moon Tang.
Besides the music, the festival will also have interactive art exhibits, pop-up stalls and diverse food options.

2. Greyson Chance The Gold Tour 2025

Following his successful tour in 2023, Greyson Chance is returning to China with The Gold Tour 2025, stopping in Shenzhen and Guangzhou this October.
This multi-city journey is a tribute to his artistic evolution, from a viral teen sensation to a profound singer-songwriter. Fans can expect a powerful set list featuring songs spanning his career, including classic hits and exclusive previews of unreleased new music.
Chance expressed gratitude for his unique bond with Chinese supporters and said this tour is designed as a special thank you.
Dates: October 10 (Shenzhen), October 12 (Guangzhou)

3. Wang Leehom The Best Place Tour

Wang Leehom will be in Shenzhen for four days as part of his The Best Place tour, which marks the 30th anniversary of the youthful-looking star’s music career.
Expect to see the multitalented singer-songwriter perform while playing a range of instruments.

4. Leon Lai 2025 Tour: Shenzhen

Hong Kong singer and film icon Leon Lai Ming is one of the “Four Heavenly Kings of Cantopop” and, at 58, still boasts an incredible fan base.
Relive his biggest hits such as “Tonight Will You Come” and “Summer Passion” at his retrospective concert in Shenzhen on October 11.
If his earlier shows in Macau and Foshan are anything to go by, he has still got a great voice, and the audience will be treated to a lively performance with large-scale laser projections and 3D visual effects.

5. Travis Scott Circus Maximus Asia Tour

The highest-grossing solo rap tour of all time is coming to Macau.
American rapper Travis Scott does not hold back much when he is on stage, and fans will be treated to his famously energetic performance in his only GBA stop on October 29.
Scott’s Circus Maximus tour began in 2023 and will make its final stop in Tokyo in November.
